If you thought Blackmagic Design was done with the announcements, think again. There’s a new update for the URSA Broadcast G2 that makes streaming even easier.
Blackmagic Camera 7.8 Public Beta now allows users to stream directly to platforms like YouTube and Facebook through their phone. Simply connect the camera to a network via mobile phone tethering or a USB to Ethernet adapter. You can then stream instantly to your favorite platform while recording a high quality Blackmagic RAW (BRAW) master.
The update also adds support for streaming to an ATEM Streaming Bridge. When connected to an ATEM switcher, you get full support for camera control, tally and talkback. This feature allows the camera operator to stream live to the studio while receiving instructions, color correcting and seeing when they are on air – all through one streaming link.
Note: Camera control, tally and talkback require ATEM Switchers 8.6.5 on your ATEM Streaming Bridge.
Blackmagic Camera 7.8 Public Beta is available now as a free download.
