DaVinci Resolve prepares for Nikon Z9

The highlight of the update is the added support for decoding Nikon RAW files. The software also includes a new, easy to select preset for Sony IMF render settings. This feature means it will be faster to select and render your work with these files.

Nikon RAW is the RAW format that will be available on the anticipated Nikon Z9 camera set to release by January 2023.

Additional updates

The release also includes updates for Fusion and audio.

When working on Apple Mac models with M1 Max processors, users will now experience better handling of 3D renders. There is also improved stability with HDR controls for grading your footage on Apple silicon models. This enables you to work consistently with fewer interruptions.

For audio, proxies are now stored with the correct sample rate when working with clips such as 44.1 or 96KHz. This allows users to get the perfect sync of their footage.

Finally, the update includes better Vimeo credential recognition. After entering Vimeo credentials into the preferences section of the software, users can export directly to Vimeo without having to re-enter the login details each time.

DaVinci Resolve 17.4.6 is available to download now for free from Blackmagic Design.
