New RF Lenses from Canon Carry a Heavy Price Tag
If you’re looking to add the new Canon super-telephoto lenses to your gear, you’ll need to save up. The recently announced RF800mm F5.6 IS USM and RF1200mm F8 L IS USM lenses start at just under $17,000.

The super-telephoto fixed focal length lenses share many similar features. Each includes Super Spectra Coating (SSC) and Air Sphere Coating (ASC) to help minimize ghosting and flaring. Both are compatible with the RF1.4x and RF2x extenders and a customizable focus ring with manual focus capability during Servo AF.

Pricing and Availability
The Canon RF800mm F5.6 L IS USM and Canon RF1200mm F8 L IS USM are expected in late May 2022. Estimated pricing is $16,999 and $19,999, respectively.
