A highly anticipated feature on the new Ronin 4D-6K is no more. DJI announced that internal compressed RAW recording is no longer supported on the new camera.

The company did confirm that, while Apple ProRes RAW is not available on the Ronin 4D, Apple ProRes 4444 XQ will be made available later in 2022.
An additional firmware update will also be immediately available at launch. This allows the Remote Monitor to view and control the main monitor interface with Mirror Control Mode, enables a clean video stream over HDMI and SDI ports on the Remote Monitor Expansion Plate with no overlaid information and supports automatic calibration for some third-party auto lenses to realize LiDAR Focusing System functions.
The price of the Ronin 4D is now $6,799 (previously $7,199) to reflect the change of specifications. The company encourages anyone who preordered the product to reach out to their retailer for a refund.
