DaVinci Resolve Software Update Improves Playback of Blackmagic RAW 2.3 Clips

Blackmagic Design has announced the DaVinci Resolve 17.4.4 update – now available on the Blackmagic Design website. DaVinci Resolve 17.4.4 adds improved playback support for decoding and grading Blackmagic RAW 2.3 clips. This update also adds support for browser-based authentication when exporting work to Dropbox and YouTube, improving security.

Additionally, the company says DaVinci Resolve will now use the hardware decoder in Apple silicon systems to speed up the decoding of VP9 video clips. This means you can play multiple VP9 clips in a multi-cam timeline more smoothly.

You’ll also have a wider range of options when encoding and delivering your projects with support for encoding Main10 H.265 on Apple Silicon models. This results in faster processing speeds and smoother playback when working with Fusion effects like Text+. Essentially this update makes it easier to create project titles.

DaVinci Resolve 17.4.4 update is available now as a free download from Blackmagic Design.
