Snoppa Rover Kickstarter Campaign Launches for New Cinema Dolly
The Snoppa Rover may be the average videographer’s new best friend. This “revolutionary” electronic stabilization cinema dolly is designed to drive and shoot stably and smoothly on all terrains. With an anticipated MSRP of $3599, the Snoppa Rover may provide a solution for budget-minded videographers.
Snoppa Technology Co., based in China, recently launched a Kickstarter campaign to fund the product’s release. This campaign has already far surpassed the goal with nearly $300,000 in pledges.

Snoppa Rover Features
The Snoppa Rover can load and control many popular cameras, including mirrorless, DSLRs, cinema cameras and more. It has a load capacity of up to 33 lbs, a series of control interfaces and an image transmission module. These features allow you to remotely control both the dolly’s movement and the camera that is shooting using your phone or tablet.
The Snoppa Rover utilizes a three wheel setup and three electric stabilizer arms – each with independent power control and steering systems – to isolate the body from wheel vibration and enable flexible motion control of the dolly.
Additional features include:
- Electric Stabilization
- All-Terrain Filming
- Slope Climbing
- Path Planning
- Hyperlapse
- Smart Tracking
- Flexible Turning Performance
- High Speed Follow up to 8m/s
